Welcome to Chinquapin 171
Experience true Lake Tahoe living in one of Chinquapin’s most beautifully remodeled residences. Chinquapin 171 is a rare lakefront retreat that seamlessly blends mountain-modern design with timeless Tahoe craftsmanship. Defined by the extensive use of reclaimed wood beams and natural stone throughout, the home has been extensively upgraded with top-of-the-line finishes, sophisticated smart-home technology, and three expansive lakefront decks that showcase breathtaking panoramic views.
Ideally located just steps from the community’s private pier, sandy beach, and historic Dollar House complex, this exceptional property offers the perfect balance of serenity, convenience, and year-round recreation.
The thoughtfully designed floor plan features three bedrooms and three baths, including a luxurious primary suite with a king bed, spa-inspired ensuite bath with dual vanities, and tranquil lake views. A secondary guest bedroom and adjacent bath provide comfortable accommodations, while the spacious bunk room with two doubles over two queens is perfectly suited for hosting big groups. Its ensuite bath features dual sinks along with a separate tub and shower.
At the heart of the home, the gourmet chef’s kitchen is appointed with high-end stainless steel appliances, including a Viking hybrid gas range, combination microwave/convection oven, Miele dishwasher, and integrated refrigerator/freezer. Natural stone counters and custom cabinetry elevate the space, while thoughtful details such as dual sinks and an instant boiling and filtered water dispenser enhance everyday functionality. The adjoining dining nook offers an expandable table for six to eight guests, complemented by bar seating at the kitchen island.
The living room is both dramatic and inviting, anchored by an oversized stone fireplace and framed by floor-to-ceiling glass that opens to the outdoor dining deck and the lake beyond. Natural stone flooring, reclaimed wood beams, and slab-stone accents create a warm yet refined mountain aesthetic, while three-zone hydronic heating, operable skylights, and an intimate game table with stunning lake views add to the home’s comfort and character.
Designed for effortless modern living, the residence also features a Sonos whole-home audio system, multiple flat-panel TVs with Apple TV, and a dedicated theater-style entertainment experience in the living room. Wired Ethernet throughout the home and multiple high-performance WiFi access points ensure exceptional connectivity, while programmable Lutron lighting and voice-activated controls add another layer of sophistication.
Outdoor living is equally impressive, with three private lakefront decks designed for dining, entertaining, and relaxing against the backdrop of Lake Tahoe. The primary dining deck features a Lynx stainless steel grill, dual integrated outdoor heaters, and seating for ten.
As one of the closest residences to the private pier and lakefront amenities, Chinquapin 171 offers unparalleled access to the community’s 95 acres of pristine shoreline, trails, tennis courts, swimming pools, and resort-style amenities — creating an extraordinary Tahoe retreat in one of North Lake Tahoe’s most sought-after communities.

Noise: Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Please consider moving indoors after 10 p.m. If you choose to be outside, please be considerate of the neighbors.
Parking: Park only in the designated parking areas provided for your rental unit.
Occupancy: Placer County code limits overnight occupancy of short-term rentals to two adults per bedroom, plus an additional two adults, excluding children under 16. Occupancy limits are enforced after 10 pm. Check with our office about any questions related to the occupancy limits of your rental.
Pets: The Chinquapin Homeowner’s Association does not allow guests to bring pets on property.
Waste & Recycling: Don’t be a litter bug! Please put your trash in the proper containers. Trash accumulation outside of containers attracts wildlife and is strictly prohibited.
Bears: Be bear aware! Bears have a sense of smell up to seven times as strong as a dog’s and are lazy meal finders. It’s not uncommon in the mountains for a bear to break into a car or a home where food has been left out. Don’t leave food in an unattended car and use bear-box trash receptacles wherever they’re available.
Fire Restrictions: Fire danger is high in our forests and mountains. Outdoor wood burning - including open wood burn pits, bonfires, or campfires - is prohibited at any vacation rental. Charcoal grills are also prohibited. Propane grills and natural gas/propane burning fireplaces and fire pits (with 20-pound tanks or smaller) are allowed but must be at least 10 feet from flammable structures and materials.
Emergency Alerts & Evacuations: During emergencies, stay tuned to local media and be on alert for evacuation instructions from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office. Placer County may also issue critical safety information using the Placer Alert notification system. To sign up to receive notifications by text, phone or email during your stay, please visit PlacerAlert.org.
